HONG KONG, 13 June 2018: Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) hosted its prestigious annual “Celebration of Sales Excellence 2017” to recognised its travel trade partners.
A total of 26 awards were presented during the event in recognition of outstanding sales achievements during 2017.
The Sales Excellence Award was awarded to the top 20 partners, while another took home the Sales AdvancEAR Award.
The winner of the Top Sales AchievEAR Award was lvmama.com, making it the second consecutive year that lvmama.com received the ceremony’s highest honour.
This year, families and friends of the theme park’s travel partners joined the celebrations that included a typical Disneyland line up of its iconic personalities and stage shows.
“We look forward to achieving new milestones with industry partners through exploring new business opportunities and rolling out more diversified products for our guests,” said Hong Kong Disneyland director of travel trade sales, James Tung.
The theme park, which has three hotels, will roll out new attractions and entertainment offerings through to 2023 including the latest atmosphere stage show ‘Moana: A Homecoming Celebration’ a prelude to HKDL’s multi-year expansion.
The all-new 20-minute “Moana: A Homecoming Celebration” takes place at the park’s Jungle Junction, an entirely new outdoor venue in Adventureland.
Following the launch of “Moana: A Homecoming Celebration”, the second Marvel ride-through experience is due to open in 2019. The transformation of the park’s iconic centerpiece, ‘The Castle’, has also begun, which will be home to new day and evening shows in 2020. HKDL will also be introducing an all-new frozen-theme area in 2021.
