PALEMBANG, Indonesia, 8 May 2018: Wyndham flies its flag for the first time in Palembang, Indonesia following the opening of Wyndham Opi Hotel Palembang.

The 257-room Wyndham Palembang is located in the Jakabaring precinct connects with the OPI mall complex.

Once there is direct access to the Light Rail Transit, guests will be able to transfer by train to Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II International Airport and the Jakabaring Stadium, the main venue for the Asian Games.

Owned by PT Setia, Wyndham Palembang opens ahead of the 2018 Asian Games that will run from 18 August to 2 September, when the spotlight will be on South Sumatra’s capital.

The games will attract more than 15,000 athletes and officials from 45 countries, vying for honours in 47 sporting disciplines. Hotels in the city and surrounding districts will packed with participants and spectators.
