KUALA LUMPUR, 10 May 2018: Radisson Hotel Group has signed a management agreement for its first branded Park Inn by Radisson hotel in Malaysia.
The 191-room Park Inn by Radisson Putrajaya will be new-build hotel currently under development in De Centrum City, close to Malaysia’s administrative capital, Putrajaya, just 20 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur.
No details of the construction schedule or finishing date for the hotel were given, but the De Centrum City project has been under development since 2014.
Owned by Protasco Berhad, it is part of the De Centrum City township, a MYR 10 billion (USD 2.56bn) mini-city built on a 40-hectare site. It will feature a shopping centre, residential apartments and offices, adjacent to the existing campus of the Infrastructure University of Kuala Lumpur (IUKL).
The hotel site is located midway between Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
The announcement follows the group’s recent signing of the Radisson Red Cebu Mandaue in the Philippines with developer Cebu Landmasters, last April. Radisson also plans to have more than 200 hotels operating or under development in South Asia by 2022.
