IHG expands Thailand footprint

SINGAPORE, 24 May 2018: InterContinental Hotels Group has signed management contracts on eight properties being built or redeveloped by Thailand’s Ratanakorn Asset.

The properties in  Pattaya, Rayong, Phuket, Khao Lak and Samui will be assigned to various brands owned by IHG.

The properties will be a mix of new build, or conversions, branded as Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Staybridge Suites brands.

It will add 2,000 rooms to IHG’s presence in Thailand starting this year through to 2027.

Holiday Inn Express Pattaya on Larn island. This is a conversion of the old Sealay Resort Koh Lam property and is due to open this year.

Holiday Inn Resort Koh Larn
This is new-build Holiday Inn located right on Na Ban Beach, a short five-minute drive from Na Ban public pier.

Holiday Inn Resort Pattaya Na Jomtien
The beachfront property is close to Cartoon Network Waterpark.

Staybridge Suites North Pattaya
A new-build Staybridge Suites Pattaya Wong Amat brings to Thailand a brand that is unknown in Southeast Asia.

Holiday Inn Resort Rayong
The new build hotel will be located on Mae Rum Pueng Beach, a 45-minute drive from U-Tapao International Airport.

Holiday Inn Resort Khao Lak Cape Pakarang
This new build hotel is a 15-minute drive from Khao Lak town centre.

Holiday Inn Express Phuket Kata
A new-build property near Kata beach.

Holiday Inn Express Samui Chaweng
This new build property is located on Samui Chaweng on Samui island

IHG has 24 hotels  in Thailand across five brands – InterContinental®, Crowne Plaza®, Holiday Inn®, Holiday Inn Express®, Hotel Indigo®, with a further 14 hotels opening in the next three to five years including the launch of Staybridge Suites.
