AirAsia X ups flights to Honolulu

-

SEPANG, 30 May 2018: AirAsia X will offer daily flights linking Kuala Lumpur and Honolulu in Hawaii, effective 16 August, up from the current four weekly services.

The flights are routed via Osaka in Japan with fares starting at MYR 700* one-way.

The airline says there is robust demand from Southeast Asia for a daily low-cost service to Hawaii.

The promotional fare to Honolulu is up for grabs until 3 June for travel from 18 August to 13 August 2019 for bookings made on www.airasia.com.

AirAsia X sells its flat-bed service at MYR 2,999* one-way.

AirAsia X Group Head of Commercial Barry Klipp said: “Our entry to Honolulu last year has stimulated demand from the Southeast Asia region. In less than a year, the market has grown exponentially and we are pleased to offer daily flights from Kuala Lumpur to Honolulu to meet growing demand and provide a welcome boost for tourism in both regions.”

AirAsia X currently operates four flights a week from Kuala Lumpur to Honolulu, Hawaii, with one-stop in Osaka, Japan.

Passengers transiting in Osaka do not require a Japanese visa during the two-hour stopover.

They can also make use of AirAsia’s Fly-Thru service to connect  to Honolulu from other cities within AirAsia and AirAsia X’s networks with just one additional stop.

* One-way all-in fare inclusive of taxes and fees. Terms and conditions apply.
