SINGAPORE, 10 April 2018: WebBeds Asia-Pacific, a regional B2B travel distributor, has embarked on a series of road shows to promote Switzerland Tourism in key Asian outbound travel markets.
The initiative follows on from a partnership deal between WebBeds and Switzerland Tourism that laid the foundation for promotional events targeting Asian travel agents this April.
The road shows attempt to boost sales by offering travel agencies incentives to travel to Switzerland on fam trips and gain reward points whenever they sell a tour to a consumer.
The next road show event will be hosted in Malaysia at the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur 10 April, Singapore (Marina Bay Sands) 12 April, Hong Kong (Grand Hyatt Hong Kong) 17 April, the Philippines (Conrad Manila) 19 April, and Taiwan (Regent Taipei) 26th April.
Switzerland Tourism’s director of Southeast Asia, Ivan Breiter leads presentations to the trade at all the events. Switzerland Tourism is pushing 24 Swiss attractions and activities for bookings through its partnership deal with WebBeds that focus on train journeys, helicopter sightseeing flights, cycling tours and city breaks.
The partnership offers travel agents kick-back benefits in reward points
Under its FIT rewards loyalty programme it offers triple points for every three-night hotel stay booked in key Swiss destinations from now until 31 October 2018.
In addition, Asian agents who combine a three-night hotel booking with a Swiss attraction, or Swiss Travel Pass, will receive five times the FIT points. The incentives go to the travel agency not the individual travel agency staff handling the bookings.
The top bookers in each market will also be rewarded with special prizes, including a place on Switzerland Tourism’s “Winter Wonderland in Switzerland VIP Fam” trip in December 2018.
WebBeds is a subsidiary of Webjet Limited, operating its B2B travel business through Lots of Hotels, Sunhotels, JacTravel and FIT Ruums brands, selling more than 250,000 hotels rooms worldwide to travel agent partners via online channels.
