Lanmei adds China service

-

PHNOM PENH, 5 April 2018: Cambodia’s newest airline, Lanmei Airlines, started flights between Siem Reap in Cambodia and Shijiazhuang in China 2 April.

It flies the route three times weekly on Monday, Wednesday and Friday using an Airbus A320.

It’s the only airline serving the route from Siem Reap, the country’s main tourist destination that attracts thousands of Chinese tourists.

Flights depart Siem Reap at 0955 during the summer timetable ending 31 October.

The airline’s website offers limited information on the service. However a search came up with a roundtrip fare of USD 578 for the route with additional taxes of USD 144.30.

Overall, the airline’s website image is poor with outdated information, urgent announcements that are no longer valid and an irrelevant news section indicating a minimum investment in online awareness.

For example the new route is not being promoted on the website’s homepage, giving the impression that the flights could be pre-sold to Chinese tour operators with only a small number of seats open to direct bookings online.
