BANGKOK, 21 March 2018: Paris is the global winner of TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice awards for Destinations, while Bali in fourth place was the highest placed Asian destination on the global top-10 list.
Bali was in fact the only Asian destination to appear on the global top 10 chart, a list dominated by European destinations. New York was placed 10th compared with Paris in first place, London in second and Rome in third.
Award winners were determined using an algorithm based on the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings for hotels, restaurants and attractions in destinations worldwide, gathered over a 12-month period, as well as traveler booking interest on TripAdvisor.
Awards honour 402 outstanding destinations in 42 lists across worldwide focusing on various categories including regional categories such as the Americas, Asia and Europe.
