Travel firm packages local host dining

-

SINGAPORE, 12 March 2018: A leading destination and events management company, Pacific World, is adding dining events through an online local dining community.

A partnership with NOSHtrekker, a company that offers themed-home dining experiences organised by local hosts allows Pacific World to offer specialised local content starting in Singapore.

“Pacific World and NOSHtrekker share a common vision to give people a fresh perspective of a destination, one that creates long-lasting connections,” said, Pacific World global managing director Selina Chavry.

Founded in 2015 in New South Wales, Australia NOSHtrekker has expanded to Singapore, South Africa and Brunei, but it is in Singapore that it offers a wide variety of home and dining experiences that explore the widest selection of Asian dishes that make up the Singapore food scene.

The local hosts are called Nosh Hosts and their set dining experience costs around SGD70 per person with a minimum of two diners.  In Brunei, the Nosh Host presents a brunch or afternoon tea experience in a home at the famous floating village of Kampong Ayer.

On its website NOSHtrekker explains its offerings as an  “in-home dining experience that connects the incredible people who eat and make it, and the local stories they tell.”

Pacific World gains from having wider food and dining related content to offer its clients, while NOSHTrekker gains exposure and distribution for its Nosh Hosts.

The tour company will package and resell the content, adding other tour features and transfer as added value.

NOSHTrekker has a facility on its website to sign up “partners” to distribute and resell the dining event.

The NOSHTrekker website lacks an instant booking and payment facility. The potential guest has to send an email to the site to request a booking. The Nosh Host as the right of refusal.

Features are similar to the EatWith dining with locals community online service, although the prices quoted on NoshTrekker are higher.
