DANANG, 27 March 2018: Hue’s biennial festival celebrating Vietnam’s cultural heritage is set to kick off, 27 April, with organisers expecting a turnout that will surpass the 250,000 visitors who attended the festival in 2016.

The 2018 event focuses on art, music and the cultural traditions of Vietnam’s village communities as well as attracting musicians and dancers from various countries.

Running from 27 April to 2 May, performances take place in the evenings in the grounds of the country’s former Imperial Citadel, An Dinh Palace and Quoc Hoc Memorial Square.

Apart from traditional Vietnamese artists there will be performances by traditional musicians from Korea, lion dancers from Okinawa, folk dancers from Poland, contortionists from Mongolia, French rockers and Colombian drummers.

La Residence Hotel & Spa is selling a three-day, two-night package for the festival with stays valid 1 April to 10 May.

Package prices start at VND 10,582,000 (USD 465) for a two-night stay.

The package includes two nights’ accommodation, daily breakfast for two, a one-way airport transfer, 45-minute spa treatment and round-trip shuttle service to one of the festival’s locations.

Festival tickets range in price from 50,000 VND (USD 2.50) to 2 million VND (USD 100).
