Hilton seals two deals in Thailand

BANGKOK, 6 March 5, 2018: Hilton confirmed a major expansion in Thailand, following the signing of two management agreements in Bangkok and Phuket.

Hilton will manage a property owned by Majestic Grande Company Limited branded a DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit. The second property owned by Stone Bitters will be branded Hilton Garden Inn in Phuket Bang Tao.

The two properties are scheduled to open in 2018 and 2020 respectively.

With the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok, due to open later this year, these latest deals will further strengthen Hilton’s multi-brand presence in a country, which is set to benefit from the continued growth of the tourism industry.

“We are deeply committed to expanding our presence in Thailand and introducing more brands from our portfolio,” said Hilton senior vice president, development, Asia and Australasia, Guy Phillips.

“Hilton Garden Inn is a category leading mid-market brand and we are confident it will be a great success in Thailand, while DoubleTree by Hilton is already proving to be a great success in a country,” said DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit vice president brand management, Asia-Pacific Sean Wooden,

The 251-rooms, DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit will offer one dining and bar outlet, a swimming pool and a fitness centre, at a centrally located in Sukhumvit Soi 2.

The 177-room Hilton Garden Inn Phuket Bang Tao will be located in Bang Tao will have two dining and bar outlets, a swimming pool and a fitness centre.
