Tehran service a loser

-

BANGKOK, 12 February 2018: Thai Airways International confirmed, late last week, it will end flights to Tehran, the Iranian capital, 28 February.

In response to questions filed by TTR Weekly, the airline said the route was unprofitable and demand was not high enough to continue through the summer timetable that starts in March.

TTR Weekly ran a report earlier that indicated flights would stop as stated in timetable information supplied by Airlineroute.

A check of the airline’s booking site indicated the airline was not planning to reinstate the flight with the winter timetable that comes into effect 31 October.

However, the airline has now confirmed the service has been withdrawn permanently.

  1. We always wonder why TG always make decision to operate the flight that we believe that it would not last long, did TG deeply study and survey the feasibility study and demand of both destinations or it was just emotional decision of TG ‘s management level ?
