Hurtigruten strengthens APAC team

HONG KONG, 15 February 2018: Exploration cruise specialist, Hurtigruten, named  Damian Perry, previously CEO of Cox and Kings, to take on the role of managing director for Hurtigruten in the Asia-Pacific region.

He replaces William Harber, who has moved to the position of president, the Americas at Hurtigruten after a successful office launch in the APAC region.

This year, the group is launching hybrid ships to introduce cruises that will explore Antarctica and the high Arctic.

Perry previously worked for Intrepid Travel, Peak and Flight Centre and also played a pivotal role in driving Hurtigruten’s growth in Australia and New Zealand.

The company’s APAC team has bases in Hong Kong, Tokyo and now Melbourne to support partners selling Hurtigruten Explore cruises to Antarctica and the Arctic, in addition to developing Norway coastal cruising.

The Roald Amundsen is heading to Antarctica in 2018 and the newest ship, Fridtjof Nansen, is  offering premium explorations on the inaugural sailings along the Norwegian coast. Nansen is now available for bookings on its inaugural sailings for 2019.
