Thai AirAsia X taps Tokyo’s popularity

BANGKOK, 29 January 2018: Thai AirAsia X has opened bookings for its third daily flight from Bangkok’s Don Mueang airport to Tokyo Narita.

The additional service is due to start 25 March according to AirlineRoute’s timetable details.

The one-way fare on the airline’s booking website for the new flight, XJ602, departing 0505, starts at USD234.44 one-way.

The new daily service using an Airbus A330 will depart Bangkok’s DMK at 0505 and arrive in Tokyo Narita at 1240.

Flight XJ603 will depart Narita at 1355 and will arrive in DMK at 1910.

The other two daily services depart at DMK at 1105 and 2355. The return flights from Narita depart at 0915 and 2040.

Thai AirAsia still requires government approval for the new slot times, but now ICAO’s red flag status on Thailand’s civil aviation compliance and safety has been lifted the skies are clear for expansion.

Thai AirAsia is expanding services to Japan this year with a new services to Sapporo in May and will add a third service to Osaka later this year up from twice daily.
