PHUKET, 9 January 2018: Ocean Marina Yacht Club was awarded “Best Marina Development” at the inaugural Christofle Yacht Style Awards Ocean Marina Yacht Club seeing off stiff competition from marinas throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

Announced at a gala dinner in Phuket and attended by more than 300 of the region’s marine industry decision makers last weekend, the awards recognise the best of the yachting industry in Asia.

Commentng on the accolade, Ocean Marina Yacht Club harbour master, Scott Finste, said “It’s a proud moment for myself and all the team at Ocean Marina Yacht Club. We are very honoured to have been recognised for all our hard work and we will strive to further improve our facilities and deliver a best-in-class service to our customers.”

Ocean Marina Yacht Club is the largest marina in Southeast Asia with 380 wet berths for yachts up to 65 metres (215 foot), hard stand and dry stack storage, and haul out capabilities up to 75 tons.

The  fully serviced marina with onsite tenants supply marine products and services also has an onsite hotel with restaurants, fitness, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, meeting and conference facilities.

With the Thai government’s EEC project driving infrastructure development, and recent changes to the customs regulations allowing international yachts to stay longer, the signs are positive for continued growth in Thailand’s East Coast marine leisure sector and Ocean Marina Yacht Club’s expansion will cater to the increased demand.

Ocean Marina Yacht Club is home to the Ocean Marina Pattaya Boat Show and the award-winning Top of the Gulf Regatta presented by Ocean Marina.
