SINGAPORE, 7 November 2017: Trafalgar, a guided tour specialist, is offering four new “exceptional after-hours experiences” within the Vatican for travellers booking during the 2018 summer travel season.

Having offered access to private dining within the Ethnological Museum for the past two years, the global guided holiday brand has now announced new VIP dining opportunities within the Vatican.

Guests travelling on Contrasts of Italy, Grand European, Best of Italy & Sicily and Rome Explorer will enjoy al fresco dining under Italian summer skies at the Cortile del Giardino Quadrato (square garden).

Situated outside of the Ethnological Museum and boasting spectacular views of the cupola of St Peter’s, dining here is a true treat for international travellers.

Adverse weather contingency is provided in the Bistrot della Pigna, the newly-created dining space within the Cortile della Pigna, also nestled deep inside the historic city walls.

Prior to dining, Trafalgar travellers on these four trips also have the opportunity to view artefacts at the Museo Gregoriano Profano

Holidaymakers choosing Grand Italian Experience, or Rome & Tuscan Highlights will absorb the ambience of the city within Rome and enjoy dining with a distinct difference among the artistry of Museo Gregoriano Profano, or the stunning surrounds of the Salone di Raffaello of the Pinacoteca, with access to the Museum available pre-dining.

Commenting on the trips, Trafalgar product development director, Liesa Bissett said: “We are thrilled to be able to offer our guests the optimum opportunity to experience the Vatican as a VIP after-hours. It truly is an honour for Trafalgar to be extended such privileges to reveal another side of this spectacular site.

“For our agent partners looking to provide their clients with the chance to truly connect with the places to which they travel, we look forward to working with them to secure sales success for 2018 and beyond.”

Trafalgar has 70 years’ experience in travel and more than 5 million guests. It offers 230 itineraries to six continents and claims a what it calls a “genuine 97% satisfaction rate and 52% YOY repeat travellers”.
