TOKYO, 14 November 2017: Hurtigruten, a specialist in exploration cruises, is expanding its sales presence in Japan by appointing a second agency.

It has appointed International Cruise Marketing (ICM) as its second preferred sales agent selling its Arctic and Antarctic explorer products in Japan.

The other already established PSA, Tumlare, will continue to sell the cruise line’s coastal Norway products in Japan.

Hurtigruten’s president for China & Asia Pacific, William Harber notes: “Our new commercial set-up allows ICM and Tumlare to play to their strengths… (selling) to Japanese travel agents.”

International Cruise Marketing has represented international cruise lines in Japan since 1990.

Tumlare is a land operator with a 45-year track record as a specialist for travel to northern Europe. It has been the exclusive sales partner of Hurtigruten for more than 20 years, marketing cruise products and also land packages pre and post-cruises.
