Wharf appoints group director

HONG KONG,  20 September 2017:  Wharf Hotels has appointed James Bevans as its new group director of rooms.

Reporting to the group’s vice president operations, Bevans is responsible for room operations at the group’s 15 hotels under the Niccolo and Marco Polo Hotels brands.

The group has hotels in China, Hong Kong and the Philippines.

Bevans will also be tasked with overseeing room divisions for three new Niccolo projects in Hong Kong, Changsha and Suzhou, China.

Since joining the group, Bevans has already established his strength as pre- opening project lead for the recently opened Niccolo Chongqing, providing support and direction to successfully open the hotel alongside its leadership team.

Bevans has more than 25 years experience working for luxury brands including Hyatt, Peninsula, Mandarin Oriental, Fairmont and Raffles.

Bevans most recently held the position of general manager for Taal Vista Hotel in Tagaytay, Philippines.
