BANGKOK, 20 September 2017: Destination Asia’s founder and CEO, James Reed, assumes the role of executive chairman, while Monique Arnoux joins as the company’s CEO.

Reed formed Destination Asia Group in 1996, and is credited with being one of the early pioneers who developed the lucrative inbound incentives segment in Thailand and neighbouring countries.

He started with a presence in just two countries and 18 staff in 1996, building the firm to what it is today with an Asia-wide network in 11 countries and over 600 staff working in 29 offices.

From 1991 to 1996, Reed was group managing director of Tour East, based in Bangkok, and prior to that (1988 – 1991) he was director of sales and marketing at the Island Shangri-la hotel in Hong Kong.

He hands over day-to-day operations to Arnoux, who was most recently Hotelbeds Group’s global sales and marketing director based in Bangkok

Prior to the 10-year tenure at Hotelbeds Group she was the director/Head of FIT at Pacific World based in Hong Kong.
