Qatar now four daily to Kathmandu

DOHA, Qatar, 1 September 2017: Qatar Airways will add an additional daily flight on its Doha – Kathmandu route, today, 1 September.

The new service will help to meet high demand during Nepal’s festival season, which takes place every year in September and October.

Using an Airbus A320, the extra flight will depart Doha at 0125 and arrive in Kathmandu at 0855.

Nepal’s annual festival season features many large parades and outdoor fairs offering traditional Nepalese music and a colourful atmosphere.

Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, is an expanding metropolis filled with ancient temples, beautiful walled gardens and many markets offering an assortment of local crafts, jewellery and traditional clothing.

Qatar Airways Group chief executive, Akbar Al Baker, said: “We are delighted to add an additional frequency to Kathmandu, in anticipation of increased demand for passengers travelling for the festival season. This additional daily flight will allow our passengers even more opportunity to experience Kathmandu, a captivating city that draws travellers from all over the globe.”

Qatar Airways  now  offers four daily flights between Doha and Kathmandu.

Having recently added flights to Colombo and Dhaka, Qatar is continuing its expansion through the remainder of the year and into 2018. New flights are scheduled for Canberra, Australia; Chiang Mai, Thailand; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; San Francisco, USA and Santiago, Chile.

QR649 Kathmandu (KTM) to Doha (DOH) departs 09:55 arrives 12:10
