BANGKOK, 10 August 2017: MIAT Mongolian Airlines, the national flag carrier of Mongolia, confirmed last week a new partnership with Amadeus to upgrade its technology systems.

The airline will adopt Amadeus Altéa Suite, a passenger service system that will further the airline’s mission to connect Mongolia with the rest of the world.

Mongolia is noted for its beautiful landscapes, rich culture and vast natural resources that make it an attractive destination for tourists.

With the new Ulaanbaatar International Airport set to open in May 2018, air connectivity between Mongolia and the rest of the world is poised to improve considerably.

The national airline is undergoing an upgrade of its bookings and passenger service technology and adding new services to cities in Asia.

Commenting on the partnership, Tamir Tumurbaatar, President & CEO, MIAT Mongolian Airlines, said: “Our recent codeshare agreements with Asian airlines and the new aircraft we will receive over the next few years put us in a strong position for growth.”

“To achieve it we need to make sure we have the best technology available to support our objectives. This partnership with Amadeus is a critical part of the foundation on which we will build a brighter future – one that sees us expanding our footprint with best quality services for our customers.”

This partnership will help MIAT Mongolian Airlines streamline and improve all core passenger processes including reservations, inventory, departure control, flight management and e-commerce system.

MIAT Mongolian Airlines joins a growing community of more than 130 airlines, that use Altéa Suite.
