LAM DONG, 1 August 2017: Vietnam Lam Dong People’s Committee plans to organise the seventh edition of the Dalat Flower Festival, 23 to 27 December, this year.
Local media reported the event would feature 15 major programmes.
They include a Dalat wine festival, a flower and ornamental exhibition, and a vegetables fair and tea culture festival.
The event promotes Vietnamese agricultural products and tourism for locals and foreign visitors.
Dalat Flower Festival is a cultural festival, which takes place every other year in Dalat city, Lam Dong, Vietnam and some other localities in Lam Dong province.
The festival focuses on exhibiting flowers, vegetables and ornamental plants from the local as well as other regions within the country and many other countries, worldwide, in order to attract visitors to Dalat to promote the economic development of the city.
Located in the central highlands region, Lam Dong is a mountainous province, and 70% of its area is covered in forest. Its capital is Dalat.
Lam Dong borders Khanh Hoa province and Ninh Thuan province to the east, Dong Nai province to the southwest, Binh Thuan province to the southeast, Dak Lak province to the north, and Dak Nong province to the northwest.
The province is 293 km from Ho Chi Minh City.
