BANGKOK, 17 March 2017: Thai Lion Air will launch a new service from Bangkok (Don Mueang Airport) to Hanoi in Vietnam starting 24 March.

According to the airline’s website, it will offer eight weekly roundtrip flights to serve travel demand between the two destinations, but only on four days each week.

Flight times are different for the two inaugural services on 24 March.

Tough competition on the Bangkok- Hanoi between low-cost airlines, Nok Air and Thai AirAsia, keeps fares low and to make its mark, Thai Lion Air will have to undercut these two players.

As of March 26, Thai Lion Air will offer two roundtrip flights daily on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. No flights Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Thai Lion sells a one-way promotional fare, Bangkok-Hanoi, at THB1,675. The fare includes a free 20 kg baggage allowance, a 15 kg sport equipment allowance and seat selection.
