NEW YORK, 17 November 2016: Based on AirHelp’s annual rankings of airlines, worldwide, Qatar Airways has been named Best Airline in the World.
Qatar Airways gained the number one spot over 77 other airlines ranked by AirHelp internationally based on feedback from worldwide travellers who use AirHelp.
The New York agency assists travellers to resolve issues related to airline services.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker, said: “Qatar Airways’ Best Airline in the World award from AirHelp is truly an honour and a credit to the thousands of men and women that work for Qatar Airways around the world.”
AirHelp was formed in 2013 to assist passengers who have experienced delays, cancellations or overbooking.
Passengers without the time or the knowledge to address airline service gaps recruit AirHelp to resolve issues.
To date, the company has helped over 1.2 million passengers to resolve their air travel-related issues.
Qatar Airways also won the Skytrax’s Best Staff Service in the Middle East award.
