Emirates expands SEA network

DUBAI, 31 August 2016: Emirates is flying a new daily service from Dubai to Yangon in Myanmar and onwards to Hanoi in Vietnam.

The new service uses a Boeing 777-300. For travellers resident in Yangon it offers a one-stop service through to Europe with a connecting flight stop in Dubai.

Previously, passengers in the two cities would have travelled to Bangkok to connect with an Emirates services.

inside no 8The airline serves 12 cities in seven countries in Southeast Asia.

Yangon is Myanmar’s largest city and contributes approximately one fifth to the country’s GDP.

Meanwhile, Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam becomes Emirates’ second gateway in the country following the launch of services to Ho Chi Minh City in 2012.

Flights to Yangon and Hanoi depart daily from Dubai as EK388 at 0330 arriving at Yangon International Airport at 1140. The service will then depart from Yangon at 1300 and arrive at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport at 1530. The return flight, EK389 will depart Hanoi at 2250, arriving at Yangon at 0020 the next day. The service will then depart from Yangon at 0150 and arrive at Dubai International Airport at 0505.

The airline serves a network of 154 destinations in 82 countries.
