Carlson Rezidor expands China footprint

SINGAPORE, 25 August 2016: Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, signed a management agreement, Wednesday, for Radisson Hangzhou Qianjiang, due to open the third quarter of 2019.

Owned by Zhejiang Wanxiang Real Estate,the new-build hotel will form part of a mixed-use development with office and retail space.

Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang province in east China, located approximately 180 km from Shanghai. Known for its lucrative manufacturing and technology industries, Hangzhou is reputed to be one of China’s wealthiest cities.

Radisson Hangzhou Qianjiang will have 185 rooms within the mixed-use Bodi Centre in Qianjiang Century City. It will comprise of 70,000 square-metres of office space and 5,000 square metres of retail space.

The hotel is located 20 km from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport. It will feature several dining options with three restaurants and a bar. Recreational facilities include a swimming pool, fully equipped fitness centre and a spa. The hotel’s meeting and events facilities include over 1,500 square-metres of versatile function space.

In China, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has 13 hotels in six cities currently in operation.
