BANGKOK, 29 April 2016: Best Western Hotels & Resorts has confirmed it will open a Best Western Plus property this June in Puerto Princesa, the largest city on the island of Palawan, in the Philippines.
Best Western Plus Ivy Wall is a new-build midscale hotel located a short drive from Puerto Princesa International Airport.
The city is served by flights from Manila and is a 1.5 hours’ drive from the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Puerto Princesa Underground River.
“Best Western’s expansion in the Philippines continues to gather momentum, with another exciting destination in the country,” said, Best Western Hotels & Resorts managing director of international operations – Asia, Olivier Berrivin.
The 120 room Best Western Plus Ivy Wall offers a mix of room categories including suites, featuring a contemporary Filipino design. Rooms are fitted with 42-inch LCD televisions, DVD players, mini-bars, spacious work desks and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities.
And as with all Best Western hotels, worldwide, Wi-Fi is free-of-charge both in guest rooms and public areas.
The hotel has a swimming pool, poolside bar, a business centre, three meeting rooms and a 300 m² ballroom.
Best Western Plus Ivy Wall is the eighth Best Western hotel in the Philippines, joining existing properties in Manila, Makati City, Cebu City, Subic Bay and the resort island of Boracay.
It also the country’s fourth midscale Best Western Plus hotel, following the Best Western Plus Antel Hotel in Makati City, Best Western Plus Lex Cebu and the recently-opened Best Western Plus Hotel Subic.
