HO CHI MINH CITY, 23 December 2015: Vietjet took delivery of another A320, late last week, making it the 30th aircraft in the low-cost airline’s fleet.
Vietjet has a standing order for purchases and leases of 100 aircraft from Airbus.
Currently, the airline operates 190 flights daily from gateway cities in Vietnam.
The airline’s managing director, Luu Duc Khanh, said: “Vietjet is now operating 30 new A320s and A321s and they are ensuring the airline can develop a network in Vietnam and across the Asia-Pacific region.”
It has already opened 38 routes in Vietnam and across the region to international destinations such as Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, China and Myanmar.
The airline has carried nearly 20 million passengers to date.
