AirAsia X signals Sapporo launch

KUALA LUMPUR, 29 July 2015: AirAsia X will launch four weekly flights from Kuala Lumpur to Sapporo beginning 1 October, the airline announced Tuesday.

To launch the service, AirAsia X will sell promotional all-in-fares from as low as MYR99* one-way for economy, or MYR999* one-way for premium flatbed.

These promotional fares were introduced Tuesday and are available until 2 August for the travel period 1 October to 31 August 2016.

All promotional fares can be booked online at airasia.com as well as via AirAsia’s mobile apps on iPhone and Android services, as well as AirAsia’s mobile site at mobile.airasia.com.

The airline’s acting chief executive officer Benyamin Ismail told a press conference, “We are thrilled to expand our network to Japan with direct flights to Sapporo, Hokkaido! AirAsia X will be the only airline operating scheduled direct flights from Kuala Lumpur to this world-class destination!”

An optional Fly-Thru service to link the new service with flights from other AirAsia Group’s destinations is available.
