Jetstar expands Thailand services


BANGKOK, 31 March 2015: Jetstar Pacific launched a new service between Hanoi and Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport on Monday.

It follows the recent launch of daily flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok. The airline said the additional services reflects growing passenger demand for low fare options on routes between Vietnam and Thailand.

The services should boost local tourism, visiting friends and  relatives  (VFR)  as well as business travel.

Jetstar Pacific CEO, Le Hong Ha, said: “There is a huge demand for low fares in both markets. We saw a fantastic response when bookings first opened, and we’re expecting this demand to continue to grow” he said.

Inside no.6The launch is part of a strategy to expand services between Vietnam and Thailand.

Jetstar Pacific’s Hanoi-Bangkok flights operate daily using a 180-seat Airbus A320. Flight BL667 departs Hanoi from Noi Bai International Airport at 1110. From Bangkok,  BL668 departs Suvarnabhumi International Airport at 1435. Total flight time is around 1 hour and 50 minutes.

The Jetstar Group includes Jetstar Pacific (Vietnam), Jetstar Asia (Singapore), Jetstar Japan and Jetstar Australia and New Zealand with more than 60 destinations in 16 countries worldwide.

Currently, the Jetstar Group operates 28 roundtrip flights between Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City, 35 flights between Singapore – Bangkok, seven flights between Hanoi – Bangkok. In Vietnam, Jetstar Pacific operating 16 domestic flights to 13 cities.
