HANOI, 28 January 2015: The national carrier, Vietnam Airlines, plans to offer inflight Wi-Fi for both international and domestic routes this May.
Vietnam Airlines CEO, Pham Ngoc Minh, told local media that passengers on international and domestic flights will be able to access inflight internet this May.
“The high-speed Wi-Fi service will be offered on 30 Boeing 787 Dreamliners and Airbus A350s, before being introduced on a wider scale.”
However, passengers will not be allowed to make phone calls through applications like Viber and Zalo, but those who use iPhones will be able to use the app FaceTime.
The airline flies to 52 destinations in 17 countries, excluding code-share services.
