PATA Launches Hong Kong Chapter

BANGKOK, 30 July 2012: Pacific Asia Travel Association officially re-opened its PATA Hong Kong Chapter, Friday, on the eve of an executive board meeting hosted in the territory.
The Hong Kong Chapter is chaired by Plaza Premium Lounge Management executive director, Linda Song. She is also one of three Hong Kong based PATA executive board members.
PATA CEO, Martin Craig said: “I am delighted to welcome a revitalised Hong Kong PATA Chapter back into the family circle. This is an important time for Hong Kong tourism as it seeks to strike the right balance and ensure tourism remains an overwhelming force for good as in the rest of the Asia Pacific region.”
The PATA Hong Kong Chapter will represent a diverse range of travel and tourism segments comprising of aviation, hospitality, tourism, media, academia, and government. Activities of the Chapter will include seminars, network lunches with guest speakers and industry conferences.
Ms Song said: “Knowledge sharing is important in elevating the quality of our local tourism service industries whilst preserving cultural heritage in an environmentally sensitive way.”
There are currently 41 chapters and six student chapters across America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
