PARIS, 4 July 2012: Aircraft leasing companies AerCap and AerDragon said Tuesday they had ordered five long-range wide-body Airbus A330-300 aircraft to lease to Singapore Airlines.
The value of the order was not disclosed, but at list price the aircraft would cost US$1.1 billion.
Four of the aircraft will be leased by the Dutch-based AerCap, a leading independent aircraft leasing firm with 350 planes in its portfolio, and one by its Chinese joint venture AerDragon.
“This transaction expands our total relationship with Singapore Airlines to seven A330s,” AerCap chief executive Aengus Kelly, said in a statement.
