Prizes woo passengers to airline websites
BANGKOK, 27 June 2012: Japanese airlines are boosting sales via websites by offering vouchers and lucky draw prizes directly to passengers.
All Nippon Airways encourages direct sales through its 2012 Double Smile Campaign giving vouchers for meals at participating Japanese restaurants, wellness and spa venues for passengers travelling to Japan. The voucher is worth Bt2,000 for a business class ticket and Bt1,000, for an economy class ticket.
In the past, airlines would offer gift incentives mostly to travel agents to boost sales rather than to directly to passengers. Today, airlines are concentrating more on building online bookings through their websites.
The gifts are linked to ticket purchases for flights departing 27 July to 31 July. Passengers have to register online at least three days before the travel date to be eligible. All fare classes are eligible except Super Eco Value fare.
Coupon redemption is during 1 August to 25 December.
