BANGKOK, 22 February 2012: Siam@Siam Hotel Group says it will open more hotels in Thailand with construction on one property due to start later this year.
Siam@Siam Design Hotel & Spa executive director and general manager, Sanya Saengboon, said the first property would be in Pattaya featuring 270 rooms on a site that is being cleared on Pattaya’s Soi 2 Beach Road.
“Pattaya has high growth potential in tourism as it is close to capital and the main gateway Suvarnabhumi Airport,” he explained
The property will be owned and managed by the group.
“There will be a strong focus on Bangkok in future plans. We have around 400 rooms in the capital, but we want to raise that to around 600 rooms in two years.
“We are discussing with two to three property owners in Bangkok to manage. In two years from now, we should have three more properties; one confirmed in Pattaya and another two are in Bangkok.”
Siam@Siam Hotel Group currently has three properties with 486 rooms. They are: Siam@Siam Design Hotel & Spa (203 rooms), Crown Lanta Resort & Spa (83 rooms) and Mode Sathorn (200 rooms).
