Brand games on Chang Island

TRAT, 21 OCTOBER 2011 – Chang Island welcomes its first international hotel brand with the launch of Mecure Koh Chang Hideaway, a resort hotel situated on Bai Lan Bay.
The resort owners announced, Wednesday, they have handed over the management to Accor, the largest hotel chain operating in Thailand.
The property is located 4km from the popular tourist enclave on the so-called” Lonely” Beach and 3 km from Bang Bao fishing village.
It is described as a simple rebranding of a property that was previously marketed as Dusit Princess Koh Chang. The only visible change will be in the signage.
The hotel features 96 rooms under seven room types at rates starting at Bt4,500++ per night for a beachfront unit including breakfast for two, 1 November to 23 December 2011 and 11 January to 29 February 2012.

Chang Island or Koh Chang (elephant island in Thai language), is the third largest island in Thailand after Phuket and Samui in South Thailand. The island is bordering Cambodia and is 310 km from Bangkok.
