BANGKOK, 19 October 2010 – Orient Thai Airlines re-introduced Monday its Mi-Ni I Pass, a prepaid voucher set that can be used across the airline’s domestic network.
The Mi-Ni I Pass contains three vouchers (one for each sector) priced Bt4,900, all-inclusive. On average, the fare is Bt1,633 per sector. This is higher than the airline’s regular lowest fare of Bt1,550 per sector, incluse of all surcharges.
If travellers plan ahead they can obtain cheaper fares than the Mi-Ni I Pass. However, the pass is more suitable for last-minute bookings as fares can go as high as Bt3,750, closer to the travel date.
Another limitation is that the airline might not have a seat for this promotion on some flights and during holidays or long weekends.
The Mi-Ni I pass is available for purchase at the airline’s ticketing counters and passengers can make booking through call centre, 1126 or the airline’s ticketing counters.
Vouchers are good for travel from 1 November through 31 December next year. They are transferable, but once the flight is booked, there is a Bt500 fee for a name change.
In addition, the carrier will increase services on its Bangkok-Chiang Rai route from seven a week to 10 effective 22 October (1 December to 31 January, twice a day).
Other routes in the OG’s network are: Chiang Mai (three daily); Phuket and Hat Yai (twice daily) and Trang (daily).
