BANGKOK, 30 August 2010 – Tourism Authority of Thailand, Chiang Mai Office, promotes a package to Chiang Mai Zoo Aquarium, Chiang Mai Zoo and Chiang Mai Night Safari plus Royal Park Rajapruek priced at Bt999.
Director of TAT Chiang Mai, Chalermsak Suranan, said the package was mainly geared for domestic travellers to attract more visits to Chiang Mai during the “green season”.
The city’s three zoos co-operated in the venture agreeing on a single entrance fee for all attractions, recruiting hotels and arranging air-conditioned mini-van transfers between sites.
TAT Chiang Mai Office announced the Bt999 promotion, last week, offering three zoos in Chiang Mai – Chiang Mai Zoo Aquarium, Chiang Mai Zoo and Chiang Mai Night Safari plus Royal Park Rajapruek. It also includes air-conditioned van transport and one night’s accommodation and three meals.
The price is valid until 31 October this year and can be purchased at Fest of the Five@Surat Thani, 3 to 5 September and the 19th Thailand Travel Expo, 3 to 6 September at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
On tourism recovery in the northern province, Mr Calermsak added: “We see signs of recovery in the third quarter. A survey says hotel booking improved by 40 to 45% and 70 to 90% for boutique hotels.”
