BANGKOK, 19 August 2010 – Asian Hospitality and Travel Show will be hosted in Phuket for the first time, 1 to 3 October.
Organisers, Events Thailand, believe they can develop the show into an annual fair to support the tourism industry and also position Phuket as a premier business event destination in South Thailand.
Seller registration is still open for travel-related business from around Thailand until the first week of September. The cost is Bt3,500 for three days including booths, opening and farewell parties and advertisement. Currently there are 63 registered sellers.
Confirmations have been received from 30 buyers from Hong Kong, China, Korea, Indonesia, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore and. Buyers who are major suppliers to Thailand will be fully hosted.
Asian Hospitality and Travel Show is organised by Events Thailand and will take place at Hafele Phuket A Design Centre.
Title sponsor is Phuket International Academy Sports and Leisure Club and co-sponsored by DEWA Phuket, Cape Sienna, North Phuket Hotels, Hafele and Ambrose wines.
Tourism Authority of Thailand, Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, Thailand Incentive and Convention Association and SKAL International are also supporting the event.
Beside coordinated appointments between buyers and sellers, the event will feature networking opportunities such as a sunset cruise and a grand opening party hosted by Phuket International Academy, seminars by guest speakers, job club (free matching service between employers and employees within the Hospitality industry), lucky draw prizes and competitions for cooking, wine tasting, coffee making and a Miss AHTS contest during the farewell party.
