BANGKOK, 25 August 2010 – All Nippon Airways, Japan Airlines and Thai Airways International have all launched fares for their new Bangkok-Haneda services set to commence 31 October.

All three airlines will operate daily flights to Haneda Airport, while maintaining the same frequency to Tokyo’s Narita Airport.

Once the Japanese government decided to reopen the downtown city airport to international flights airlines have flocked to gain slot times. The airport is vastly more convenient for travellers and is the base for most of Japan’s domestic services.

Japan Airlines and Thai Airways International price their Haneda’s fares at the same level as the Narita fares but All Nippon Airways has pegged its slightly higher for Haneda.

Japan Airlines quotes the lowest fare to Tokyo at Bt19,260 economy class and Bt67,000, business class excluding taxes and surcharges of around Bt4,700.

On the airline’s website, THAI’s lowest economy class fare to Haneda is Bt27,245, all-inclusive and Bt63,980 in business. Booking via the airline’s call centre, the lowest economy class fare stands at Bt24,925, but it is more expensive for a business class seat at Bt67,095. THAI’s base fares to Narita are the same as Haneda but Haneda’s surcharges are about Bt200 cheaper.

ANA’s lowest economy-class fare to Haneda through its online portal is Bt20,830, including taxes and surcharges, while the lowest fare to Narita is Bt19,595. Its business class fares are Bt54,975 to Narita and Bt56,035 to Haneda.

All fares are subject to availability and subject to change due to currency fluctuation.
