BANGKOK, 12 July 2010 – CBS Travel Asia, a leading Destination Management Company based in Bangkok, announced last week that it has successfully installed an XML interface connection with the Sawasdee Hotel Group, a budget hotel group with 18 properties throughout Thailand.
The Bangkok based DMC has been pushing the XML interface option after it upgraded its trade wholesale website that links with wholesaling partners, worldwide.
Bringing Sawasdee Hotels on board is viewed as a positive development in convincing other independent hotel operators to join the CBS system.
CBS Travel Asia’s CEO, Chaladol Ussamarn, said he believed it was a breakthrough for independent hotels in Thailand as it would allow them to control real-time allotments and rates in the international market.
“The system is as advanced, or even more so, than what international chains offer so small to medium-sized hotel groups in Thailand can benefit and compete,” he said.
Through XML capability, hotels in the group can complete in just a few seconds real-time input and changes to contract rates or allotments in the system.
The changes are immediately available to all CBS Travel Asia partners worldwide.
As CBS partners operate in different time-zones, worldwide, the system allows them to make bookings without delays, 24 hours a day.
Tour wholesalers can confirm bookings and rates automatically without the need to make a referral, or wait for a reply from CBS’s contracting and reservations departments.
