FHI rolls out new hotels

Furama Hotels International will introduce three new properties in three popular Thai destinations — Khao Lak in the south, Pattaya in the east and Chiang Mai in the north, during next month’s ITB.

The Singapore-based hotel management company already operates the 64- room Furama Xpress Bangniang Beach Khao Lak, previously known as Bangniang Beach Resort Khao Lak. It took over the resort last January. It has 34 suite rooms and 30 deluxe rooms, some with direct pool access.

Khao Lak is located about 120 km north of Phuket on the Andaman coast.

FHI announced it will open a 38-storey tower, Furama Jomtien Beach Pattaya, formerly known as Nusa Playa Hotel & Spa, 1 March. The 296-room four-star hotel is located on Jomtien Beach Road. The meeting rooms can accommodate up to 600 people.

In Chiang Mai, FHI will open the  296-room Furama Chiang Mai, 1 May. The four-star property known as Grand Heritage Hotel & Condominium is located on Huay Kaew Rd, close to government offices and Chiang Mai University.

Furama XClusive vice president sales and marketing, Tatcha Riddhimat said: “During ITB we will join the “Amazing Thailand Campaign” promoting along side TAT now that we have three new hotels and we will expand with more in the future in Phuket, Samui and Hua Hin by 2011.”
