Tourism New Zealand will organise a product training session for travel agents, 29 January, 2010, combined with a sightseeing trip to the Rose Garden in Nakhon Pathom province.
During the day-trip to one of Thailand’s oldest cultural attractions, Tourism New Zealand will update about 40 travel agents, who have enrolled in a “Kiwi Specialist programme”.
The three-hour training session, held at the Rose Garden Hotel, will touch on Maori tourism products and how to use the trade website to sell packages, while giving participants an opportunity to enjoy a popular tourist destination.
The session is only open to travel agents who have already enrolled in the programme.
Specialist programmes have been introduced by various destinations including Australia and Britain to offer certificate training for staff in travel agencies that make a commitment to the destinations.
