Mekong Odyssey 09: How to support
Join us in raising donations for The Prostheses Foundation of the Princess Mother, Thailand.
1. This is an informal, from the heart, project with zero administration. We just want to make life a little better for those who have lost limbs and need prostheses.
2. You can pledge a small amount per km ridden (distance verified by Garmin GPS) or a fixed amount, whatever suits you, during or directly after the ride.
3. The account details: Don Pepper Ross, Savings Account 217-204144-7 Siam Commercial Bank, Bon Marche Market Branch, Chatuchak District, Bangkok.
4. To confirm your pledge details please send an email to mekongodyssey09@ttreport.com (Attention Peter and Don).
5. A statement will be published on http://www.ttrweekly.com for all pledges. All funds deposited will be given to The Prostheses Foundation of the Princess Mother. (Option to support a second foundation for handicapped children if donations exceed Bt100,000).
6. We understand the foundation can issue receipts to each individual or company.
7. When you transfer your donation at the close of the ride, please send a confirmation email to mekongodyssey09@ttreport.com stating the amount with your name and address details so we can identify it on the bank statement and ensure the foundation can provide a receipt, once the donations are passed on.
8. Your donation should be forwarded by 20 December (we hope to forward the donations to the foundation by 10 January.)
9. The 21-day ride will be monitored. We will write a blog, report on the distances giving insights on this 1,600 km trip that follows a route close to the Mekong River through Thailand to Pakse in Laos.
10. Updates at twitter.com/donross44 and twitter.com/peterB48. Detailed blogs on www.ttrweekly.com.
