SQ’s only on a Tuesday sale

Singapore Airlines is offering low fares to selected destinations, but only on a Tuesday and only through its website.

Every week, the airline offers low fares on just a couple destinations for passengers who book on a Tuesday. The destinations are selected by the airline depending on advance bookings. In a nutshell passengers get a chance to fly to a destination that is not selling well.

The fares are restricted with no mile accrual, they come with a fixed travel period, non-refundable, non-endorsable, non-re-routable and name change are not allowed. They are pretty well stripped of any flexibility. Use or lose is the motto.

To show how special a Tuesday fare could be, last week’s offer ( 22 September) sold a round trip fare to Perth (14-day validity) for Bt16,000 and Jakarta for Bt8,500, all inclusive, while its normal online fares are Bt24,255(two-month) and Bt13,340(one-month) respectively.
