Air Berlin offers winter deals to Europe

Air Berlin will expand services to Thailand adding a weekly service on the Berlin-Phuket route in this winter’s timetable.

It has also launched a “Winter Wonderland” campaign offering a Bt18,590 roundtrip fare, excluding taxes and surcharges, to all German cities as well as Zurich in Switzerland, Vienna in Austria and Helsinki in Finland.

From 2 November until 1 May 2010, Air Berlin will offer a weekly service from Berlin to the holiday island of Phuket to serve leisure travel. Currently, the airline operates a weekly service between Phuket and Munich and plans to increase frequency to three a week.

Air-Berlin-No2-INsideIn the same timetable, Bangkok gains a Munich-Bangkok service, twice weekly, and an extra flight on the Berlin-Bangkok route from two to three services a week. The four flights a week between Düsseldorf and Bangkok remain unchanged.

The winter promotional fare has a travel period from 1 November through to 15 December, while bookings can be made until 30 September.

With the Winter Wonderland campaign, Air Berlin aims to promote winter destinations such as Munich, Berlin, Nuremberg and Dresden for Christmas season travel. Stuttgart, Vienna and Zurich are positioned as gateways to snow and alpine scenery and Helsinki as the homeland of Santa Claus and visits to the artic circle.
