Group CEO promotes its Indian MD to president, reporting directly to Bangkok, and begins search for a replacement to fill the MD slot.
Diethelm Travel India announced, earlier this week, that it is looking for a new managing director to head up its Indian operations.
Diethelm Travel Group CEO, John Watson, said: “Since joining us as DTI managing director in Q4 2008, Himmat Anand has done a splendid job on building a strong foundation ….”
Mr Watson said his goal now was to recruit a new managing director to take the business forward on a day-to-day basis over the coming years. Mr Anand will be promoted to DTI president, reporting directly to the group CEO.
Mr Anand commented in the official announcement: “I have been pleasantly surprised at how quickly DTI has been welcomed by the supplier community in India. We have a fine set up and one that will present an excellent opportunity for a seasoned industry professional. We have a happy and successful ship and we look forward to hiring the right candidate to lead the team.”
