Diethelm Travel India announced, earlier this week, that it is looking for a new managing director to head up its Indian operations.

Airline streamlines fare

Finnair bundles onward flights in Europe and in Finland in a single ex-Bangkok fare.
Finnair sells a business class fare to Helsinki at Bt82,000 that also includes onward connections to other domestic points and specified European cities in the network. The quoted fare excludes taxes and surcharges.
The promotion, AY Summer Delight runs until 30 June for sales and travel that must be completed by 31 August. The fare includes two free stopovers at Helsinki. Taxes and surcharges to Helsinki are around Bt9,700. Read more

Travel agency association hosts fair to focus on Asean plus three travel experiences.
Asean+3 Travel Fair exhibitors can get 30 to 40% discount if they present Asean-region specific tours at a four-day mini fair that gets underway this weekend. About 50,000 visitors are expected, while there will be 140 booths selling outbound travel products.
Asean+3 Travel Fair runs from 28 to 31 May at Zone C of the upper floor of Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre. The fair is open from 1000 to 2000. Organised by the Thai Travel Agents Association in cooperation with Krungthai Card and Thai-Amadeus Southeast Asia, the event is part of a wider programme to improve Asean’s tourism brand. Read more

Travel federation opts for domestic travel fair this August.
The Federation of Thai Travel Associations is planning its first ever travel fair, this August, to promote domestic travel.
Thai Hotels Association president, Prakit Chinamourpong, a member of Fetta, said the federation said members had agreed a fair would help to compensate for losses in the international travel market by boosting domestic travel. Read more

BA/QF axe fares to fly to Australia and UK up until 30 June.
British Airways and Qantas Airways are axing fares, selling Australia for Bt15,590 and London for Bt23,650. The deals expire 30 June.
The economy class fare, of Bt15,590 to Australia, is eligible for Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. Taxes and surcharges add Bt8,950 to the bottom line. Read more
