The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau now offers a free E-marketing service for MICE organisers.

The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau has introduced an e-Service to facilitate event organisers and their clients. The official launch was held, last week, during a press conference presided over by TCEB president, Natwut Amornvivat.

The services provided include e-Message which facilitates organisers in blasting invitations on html format, receiving real-time registration results and referring to the record of progress.

After events, an e-Survey is sent to delegates’ mailboxes requesting comments and suggestions for improving services provided by both the organisers and the Thai government. TCEB then evaluates the results with a scoring system and presents a summary to the organiser.

According to IMPACT Exhibition Management managing director, Paul Kanjanapas, the challenge for TCEB is to make sure that the delegate database is kept confidential.

IMPACT recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with TCEB to use the service for all the events held within a specified period of time.

TCEB invested Bt900,000 into E-Survey and E-Message and another Bt300,000 to construct a separate server to maintain a client database.

The bureau has also upgraded its website with Bt1.9 million to provide free matchmaking services through various channels including Requess for Proposal, Meeting Planners, Find Mice Suppliers, Digital Map and Multi Media Download.

The e-Service was soft launched in November last year. Organisers have tried the service for the World Allergy Congress on 2 to 6 December, Bio Asia on 5 to 6 November, Phuket International Marine Expo on 6 to 9 December and the Bangkok International Conference on Avian Influenza on 23 to 25 January.
